Announcing Furnitex 2011: A hotbed of Australian design talent

Furnitex, Australasia's largest furniture and furnishings Trade Fair, and the co-located Decoration + Design Melbourne, will return to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 21 - 24 July 2011.

Featuring over 500 exhibitors, Furnitex is the event for the Australian furniture and furnishings industry and is expected to attract over 16,000 local and international visitors. 2011 sees the largest showcase of Australian manufacturers in the world, including leading exhibitors; Molmic, Carjo and Lounge Innovation and more than 50 companies exhibiting for the first time.

Hotel + Hospitality Furnishings returns to Furnitex 2011

Following its successful debut in 2010, Hotel + Hospitality Furnishings will return as a key attraction at Furnitex 2011. Held from 21-24 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the feature will put a spotlight on the latest products and trends for the hotel, motel and hospitality industries.


Predicted to attract a record number of buyers working in architecture, interior design, property development and at entertainment venues, Hotel + Hospitality Furnishings will feature the latest furniture and furnishings collections from some of Australia's leading manufacturers, brands and suppliers.

Eight internationally renowned experts, two days, one event: The 2011 International Industry Seminar Series

Furnitex and Decoration + Design have confirmed a stellar line-up for the 2011 International Industry Seminar Series, held over 21st and 22nd July 2011 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Sponsored by Home Beautiful, eight leading design experts from across the globe will inspire interior enthusiasts as they discuss the hot trends for future seasons and influences driving the interiors industry.

World renowned designer Abigail Ahern (UK), famous for her cutting edge designs and magical interiors, will open the series with her Creating feeling and emotion in an interior seminar. Focusing on her trademark attention to detail, Abigail will discuss the use of tactile, visual and multi-layered interiors to convey mood and emotion.

Australian manufacturers set to thrive: Furnitex 2011 exhibitors announced 

Furnitex will return to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 21 - 24 July 2011 with a diverse range of furniture manufacturers catering to many industry sectors. Key attractions will include Hotel + Hospitality Furnishings, Lightsource and the Australian New Product Parade as well the co-located Decoration + Design Melbourne. Over 500 exhibitors are expected to participate in this year's fair, including over 40 manufacturers, many of whom have never previously exhibited at Furnitex.
