Furnitex is a Trade Only Event. Entry is restricted to bonafide members of the furniture & soft furnishings industry and over the age of 16. These include Retailers, Designers, Decorators, Architects and relevant buyers from Hotels, Restaurants, Healthcare, Aged Care, Government, Educators, Real Estate & Building and Construction.
Business ID may be required upon entry eg. Business card, letterhead or company documentation containing your company ABN. You may also be asked for personal identification such as a drivers licence to substantiate your identification.
Those not involved in the furniture & furnishings industry will not be admitted. Selling or promotion of products/services to exhibitors is not permitted. No photography or sketching permitted. Students will not be registered.
Yes all trade visitors must register for the Fair. Register online or completing the registration form attached to the Furnitex Trade Invitations. Trade Invitations are now available. If you would like to receive a personalised trade inviation please call 03 8672 1200 to register your details. Alternatively you can register for the Fair when you arrive, however to avoid queues we recommend you pre-register.
If you register online you will receive an email confirmation that gives a summary of registered details and a unique registration identification number. When registering you will select Email or SMS as the method to receive your bCODE. If you fax your registration, you will be required to provide an email address or mobile telephone number to received your bCODE prior to the Trade Fair.
If you selected mobile phone on your registration, we will send your SMS bCODE to your mobile phone from Monday 18 July 2011. If you select email, we will send your bCODE to your email address from Thursday 16 July 2011. When you arrive at the Trade Fair scan your bCODE at the entry to receive your Visitor Access Card.
Your bCODE will allow you entry into both the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and the Royal Exhibition Building.
Note that the Organiser reserves the right to cancel invalid registrations to ensure that entry is limited to bona fide trade visitors.
Yes, if you need to check what details have been registered please telephone the Organiser, Australian Exhibitions & Conferences on tel 03 8672 1200. Alternatively, your registration details can be altered when you arrive at the Fair at the on-site registration desk located near the entrance to the Fair. You won't need to complete another registration form, simply present your bCODE and business identification at the counter.
Registered visitors may obtain a replacement bCODE and Visitor Access Card at the registration counter without filling out another registration form. You will already be on our database. Just bring your business identification with you.
Students enrolled in a furniture/textile, design, interior design or architecture courses at a tertiary level or registered apprentices in furniture making may attend the Fair on either Saturday 23 or Sunday 24 July 2011 if they have the appropriate student identification card.
Trade Fair entry is restricted to Trade Only. Children under 16 may attend free of charge if accompanied by an adult at all times. There are no child minding facilities available at the venue.

Most International visitors to Australia will require a Visa to enter the country. For Government details on Visas visit Australian Government Immigration site at www.immi.gov.au Remember if you need to make a Visa Application make sure you do so well in advance as there is usually a processing period involved.
